SANIBEL: Sanibelian Ron Brittenham used a ladyfish head to bait a 39-inch redfish Friday morning in Blind Pass, where Lehr"s Economy Tackle reported he found the pass "on fire" with small snook and ladyfish spraying baitfish right up onto the shoreline. Lehr"s also heard of a 36-inch red released in Blind Pass, along with several spinner or blacktip sharks that also hit cut ladyfish. Good story: One angler, who had his rod snatched from his hands, got it back when his pal saw the rod going by along the shoreline, jumped in, and reeled in the shark on the other end.
