The first session will cover gear, knots, ethics and tips and fishing techniques.
Register by Friday, Oct. 25 for the Steelhead 101 fishing workshop 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Sunday Nov. 3 and 8 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Sunday Nov. 10 at Glen Otto Community Park, 1106 E. Historic Columbia River Highway.
The event is hosted by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Sandy River chapter of the Association of Northwest Steelheaders. Register online at https://or.outdoorcentral.us/or/license.
The class is for beginning anglers and costs $52 for adults, $22 for kids (must be at least 10 years old). The first session will cover gear, knots, ethics and tips and techniques. The second class will be on the water. The price includes lunch, use of equipment and a membership to the Steelheaders.
